Underwhelming
Lacking any sense for good storytelling and gameplay, it’s not remotely as witty and funny as the creator think it is; the constant fourthwall-breaking and dull jokes are getting annoying quickly, as well as some of the repetitive gameplay elements. The few “action”-scenes are ruined by subpar controls. I give it credit for nice graphics, some decent ideas like switching characters for different skills, and maybe about every third joke that remotely works.

A pleasant surprise
I must confess, I only got it because it was 50% off and didn’t expect much. It looked like one of the many games recently to jump on the noir and anthropomorphic characters bandwagon. But this charming little game definitely got heart and soul. An okay, and particularly entertainingly told, story, accompanied by a fitting soundtrack with catchy MIDI-ish sounds that could directly come out of an 80s/90s adventure game, also decent graphics. Just a bit short for the regular price, but if you see it for less than 10 bucks it’s an absolute no-brainer.

Design and sound yay - gameplay and storytelling nay
I really wanted to like this game more. Great drawings, solid and fitting soundtrack, the setting got potential too. Alas, the lame, monotonous gameplay, consisting of simple platforming that feels and controls rather lethargic and a few easy puzzles, left me pretty bored. Also it’s told in a pseudo-melancholic/nostalgic tone that absolutely didn’t click with me, probably because you never get any chance to relate with the characters or story at all. It stays way too shallow; you start as a stranger in a strange world, meet a few strangers along the way, and leave as a stranger.

A lovely minimalistic and surreal trip. Reminded me a lot of the Playstation classic Journey - not quite as impressive in the art style, but more interesting in terms of gameplay, since Omni got platforming and puzzle elements which bring in more challenges and variety.

Primordia meets Steel Sky
An entertaining Visual Novel/Adventure/RPG mixture with fitting old school graphics in an fascinating dystopian world. Some extra weirdness added to set it apart from many of the vanilla sci-fi adventures out there, plus some occasionally thrown in humorous dialogues to spice it up further. Pretty unique on its own, but like said, Primordia and the Steel Sky games are the most comparable titles that spontaneously come to mind, also authors like Michael Swanwick.
The Visual Novel part predominates, so don’t expect many puzzles. There are under a dozen I’d say, but those puzzles and minigames offer some variety to a genre I usually find way too generic (Visual Novels). As for the RPG part; there are a couple of turn-based battles, but nothing overly challenging.
All in all a fun ride for about 7-8 hours. Looking forward to see more from the developer team in the future - maybe with a bit more gameplay.

ambitious freeware adventure
decent atmosphere, rich in locations, nice graphics, okay voice acting, and even some real puzzles. the writing is not always on par, but all in all it’s good fun for a couple of hours.
normally i’d give it a 3, but keeping in mind that it’s free and they’ve put in a lot of effort nonetheless…

going through the motions
what a disappointment. the story is heavily driven by coincidences and cliches. not much to discover or decide here either. the pacing is weird; the main plot gets rattled off in a rather unenthusiastic way, also the relationship between the protagonist trio stays very superficial the whole time - on the other hand you waste almost a complete episode with the boy and a laughable easy LARP event.
last but not least; i don’t see how the price of a triple-a title is justified here. this is even the shortest game in the series so far. at least they could have included the bonus episode wavelengths as a free download, but no, you’d have to pay over 10 bucks for the deluxe upgrade on the playstation store.
more interesting and believable plot and character development for the next series, please. and a fair price, like the first two! also less linear again would be nice.

well-made and modern sequel to an adventure game classic. some nice locations to explore in an interesting world with lots of potential. would have been nice to dive deeper into the world and its characters, some things felt a bit rushed, like just scratching the surface of a more complex world in the about 11 hours of playing time.
the hacking was a nice addition to the gameplay. i just wish there would have been more visible effects to all of the non story relevant hacks you can do, or at least achievements for it. locking up the poet in the VIP lounge was fun, though…
the game’s obviously optimized for consoles, so best controlled via gamepad. and it works well with one, aside from a very few occasions where it feels a bit clunky.
technically it’s okay. the graphics are solid but nothing extraordinary. and it’s relatively bug and glitch free (PS4 version 1.01) compared to other microids titles in recent years. i only had to reload a savegame once, early at the city gates, because i was stuck thanks to a glitch that didn’t let me enter a door i had to enter to continue.

surprisingly good
i was sceptical about the platforming first, but aside from having to try some parts a couple of times (respawning points are set fair), it was pretty smooth. very varied level design and gameplay, with some fun out of the box puzzles. just some weird bugs/glitches (not talking bout the intentional one) are annoying, had to restart the game on 2-3 occasions because of that.
as a point & click fan i must admit that i actually enjoyed it even a bit more than their point & click adventures (gamepad highly recommended though).

aside from the decent graphics and characters i found this one underwhelming. boring story and gameplay, with a lot of unchallenging fetch quests. plus no voice acting, and it’s very short (about 3 hours). probably nice for younger players, though.

crazy shit
high production value, you can tell that there’s been a lot of effort and love put into this game. a lot of variety, craziness and love for details here. even a relatively long playing time for an adventure nowadays. only that the story and many of the characters didn’t 100% click with me keeps me away from a 5/5 rating.

very nice noire adventure. if it wasn’t for the horrid technical flaws (way too long loading times, graphic glitches, occasional input lags and stutters), i’d give it four stars. talking bout the PS4 version including the latest patch here, but i doubt that it’s significantly better on other platforms.

well, that was fun. i’d call it a story driven adventure, with a lot of platforming and a few puzzles. the controls (PS4 version) aren’t the most precise, that could be pretty frustrating, if the platforming parts were harder. nice anime style and good soundtrack. interesting and creative world, the story itself isn’t very surprising, but good enough to keep you playing, and some choices you make will alter the story a bit, so there’s some replay value too.
the length is okay. i honestly don’t know how the adventuregamers reviewer finished it in 6 hours. an average of 8-10 hours would be more realistic.

lovely arts and animations, especially for a small indie title. characters, world and story have a lot of potential, but it feels a bit rushed and underdeveloped - hence the short playing time of under 3 hours.
all in all recommended. the console and PC versions are overpriced though, either get the android/ios version or wait for a sale.
