Mac users thrown a Bone

Macintosh owners must often feel like the neglected stepchildren of the gaming industry, left alone with few toys while the PC and console kids get all the fun and attention. But for today, at least, there's good news for Mac devotees, as Out from Boneville has now been released for their platform of choice.

The Mac version is published by Vanbrio Entertainment, and created in partnership with the game's developer, Telltale Games. Like the initial release of the PC version, the Mac port is available as a download which contains a playable demo and an option to unlock the full game.

Based on Jeff Smith's popular Bone comic series, Out from Boneville is the first episode in the ongoing saga of the three Bone cousins. In this game, Fone, Phoney, and Smiley Bone are cast out of their hometown and find themselves separated and alone in an unknown land filled with playful possums, talking bugs, quiche-eating rat creatures.

Out from Boneville for the Mac retails for $12.99 USD, and can be downloaded directly from Vanbrio's website or from other common download sites.
