Lovecraftian point-and-click adventure Candlelight Lament has made a significant splash at the Tokyo Game Show 2023 with the debut of its free demo. The indie developer behind the game, Lawsquare133, partnered with publisher Gamera Games to showcase their first-ever game at the Gamera Games booth.
Candlelight Lament is an adventure puzzle game deeply rooted in the Cthulhu Mythos. Players step into the shoes of Ed, a respected elderly professor who defies the city's night-time curfews to visit friends and search for his missing granddaughter. The game's unique 2D hand-drawn monochrome art style is visually pleasing while perfectly capturing the cosmic horror and sense of dread.
