Chronique des Silencieux: The True Detective Game

New detective game, Chronique des Silencieux, from Pierrefeuille Studio, is set to be released soon. Inspired by popular games such as Papers Please, Ace Attorney, and Tangle Towers, the game is set in 1970s southern France and sees players take on the role of a rookie private eye. The game focuses on letting the player be the real driver of the investigation, avoiding question trees and multiple-choice questions.

In Chronique des Silencieux, players must dig out the secrets of a stubborn old man by following leads, asking questions to witnesses, detecting their lies, hypothesizing why, and finally confronting the silent ones running from their past. The game aims to be a 'true' detective game, where the protagonist doesn't feed players the answers to the mystery. A demo will soon be released that takes place five years before the main storyline, introducing players to the character Eugene when he first arrives in Bordeaux, looking for his uncle.

The developers at Pierrefeuille Studio are running a Kickstarter campaign in May to complete the game's funding and to push the envelope on all the essential aspects of the game.

Chronique des Silencieux is a promising new detective game that takes inspiration from some of the best titles in the genre. With its focus on player-driven investigations and avoiding the traditional question trees, it promises to deliver a fresh and exciting experience. Chronique des Silencieux is available for wishlisting on Steam.
