Shadows of Doubt: A Procedurally-Generated Detective Game
Shadows of Doubt, a new detective game, is set to launch on Steam Early Access on April 24th. Developed by ColePowered Games, the game immerses players in the role of a private investigator, exploring a fully-simulated city.
The game is a procedurally-generated sandbox stealth game that requires players to think like a detective and investigate crimes. The game features a variety of gameplay mechanics, such as scanning fingerprints, checking call histories, reading private emails, bribing citizens, watching CCTV, or picking locks, breaking down doors, and sabotaging security systems. Players can explore unique sci-fi noir cities and meet individual citizens, each with their name, job, apartment, and daily routine.
For its initial launch into Steam Early Access, Shadows of Doubt includes 'The Dead of Night,' a specially crafted case to introduce the game, and a Sandbox Mode featuring an endless number of cases to investigate and civilians to meet, a variety of equipment, and dense procedurally-generated cities to explore.
