Barouche bound for Mercury Abbey has now arrived

Earlier this year, the China based developers kicked off their Kickstarter for their furry puzzle adventure Mercury Abbey that ended greatly surpassing it's modest goals. Raising over $11,500 versus it's original goal of $8000 the Kickstarter ended with a high note in March with 360 backers, that want to see the world of Mercury Abbey brought to life.

A first milestone has been reached, as you can as of now experience the first parts of Harrod and Willie's adventure heading to Mercury Abbey!

Created by the "original team" that designed 2019's Tales of the Neon Sea, Mercury Abbey shares a number of things in common with its (unrelated) predecessor, in particular its side-scrolling perspective and stylish pixel art. This world isn't similarly steeped in film-noir atmosphere but the game still "embraces the spirit of early suspense novels, interspersing classic cultural elements throughout the story." The setting very much resembles a pastiche of our own with its patchwork of technology from various decades, but instead of being populated by humans, the cast here is comprised of anthropomorphic creatures, including "foxes, lions, tigers, bears and other kinds of animals."

"Barouche bound for Mercury Abbey has now arrived, please get in."

It is those who are going to the Abbey indeed. Funny thing is they all have invitations for the DEMO, that makes Hall curious. He throws on a coat and rushes out. His footsteps blended with the sunshine of the Moonrise Avenue.

The free DEMO of Mercury Abbey has launched on Steam and Itch.io and is now fully available to experience.
