Fenimore Fillmore seeks Revenge in UK this spring

It's been something of a long and winding trail to reach this point, but at long last comes the official announcement by Ascaron Entertainment that Fenimore Fillmore's Revenge will be coming to the UK this spring.

The third game in the comic western series, following 3 Skulls of the Toltecs and Wanted/The Westerner, puts players once more into the riding boots of the titular cowboy. In the latest adventure, Fenimore and the lovely Rhiannon learn of a secret treasure, but before they can set out to claim it, they are attacked and Rhiannon is captured. Playing as both Fenimore and Rhiannon at times, you'll first need to reunite the heroes before resuming the treasure hunt.

Unlike the first two games in the series, which both feature a disctinctly comic art style, Revenge has opted for a more subtle, somewhat realistic look, but the game still promises to have the same Fenimore Fillmore trademark "humorous dialogue and a wide range of crazy characters; an alcoholic doctor, a mad scientist and a deaf telegraph operator."

No firm release date has yet been revealed, but the game will be launched some time in the second quarter of 2009.
