Alter Ego establishes website identity

While all eyes are turned to King Art Games for the "sequel" to The Black Mirror, the original developers are busy working on a "successor" to the popular supernatural mystery, and Future Games recently launched a website for Alter Ego.

Originally announced late last year, Alter Ego is set in the late 19th century, telling the story of two notably different characters. When the body of the notorious Sir William disappears mysteriously from its grave and a series of unexplained murders follows, the police investigation is led by Detective Bristol, who refuses to believe a "monster" is responsible. As the body count rises, however, Bristol is forced to re-examine his beliefs and his principles in an effort to solve the case. Meanwhile, a young thief named Timothy Moor dreams of starting a new life in America, but his hopes are crushed when he's thrown in jail, where he soon finds himself unwittingly involved in the town's grisly mystery.

The Alter Ego website offers some additional information about the storyline and main characters. While no firm release date has yet been announced, nor an English version officially confirmed, Future Games is targeting the second quarter of 2009 for the game's completion.
