1Up on an adventure review frenzy

Video game website, 1UP have gone and reviewed two recent adventure games, Wanted: A Wild Western Adventure and Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silver Earring.

Read the Sherlock review here, where they give it a rank of "Engaging" and a score of 7.5:

Really, the worst thing you can say about Silver Earring is that it doesn't try hard enough to engage the player in the action. This makes getting to the end a relatively simple matter for seasoned adventure gamers, but it also makes it difficult to care very much about what's going on, especially with the quiz intermissions being your main interaction with the plot. Despite this, however, the atmosphere here is thunderously successful, and its strength makes this a recommended play all by itself.

And the Wild Western Adventure review can be found here, where they give it a "Competent" ranking and score it 5.0:

Wanted is far from a complete failure -- as mentioned earlier, some of the visual humor is well-done, although it's hard to spot between all the head-scratching dialogue and comatose voice acting. If this adventure came out ten or twelve years ago, it'd be the sort you'd play because you have nothing better to do before the next Sierra title. Nowadays, however, the only reason you'd buy Wanted is in a (possibly misguided) attempt to support The Adventure Company with your game-buying dollars. Which is fine, of course, but if any TAC game is skippable, this is definitely the one.

Very nice review, I recommend giving them a read.
