IFComp 2004 - The Results!

After a month and a half of playing, and 174 sets of votes later, the results of IFComp 2004 - the biggest event in the Interactive Fiction calendar - have been announced.

The eventual winner was Paul O'Brian with Luminous Horizons, the final part of his Earth and Sky trilogy, which garnered a respectable average of 7.85 out of 10. The rather quirky Golden Banana of Discord, which is awarded every year to the game that receives the highest standard deviation in its ratings, went to Tomasz Pudlo for Gamlet.

All the games are still available from the IFComp 2004 download page, and they are well worth playing. All the programs needed to play the games are also available.

Look for more information on IFComp on Adventure Gamers soon.
