Reviews: Law & Order, Larry, Myst IV

Quandary gave Law & Order: Justice Is Served a verdict of 4/5 stars:

"It's not a hard game, but it is a thoughtful game, and you will need to consider everything you know and review your material more than once if you are going to get a conviction. Whilst I felt a little bamboozled and lacking in direction at some points, everything pretty much hangs together if you are meticulous and attentive. If you like reading or watching crime dramas and trying to put the pieces together, you will likely get maximum enjoyment out of Justice is Served. I certainly did."

Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude petered out with a score of 3/10 at Boomtown:

"It seems as if High Voltage has not really decided on a fixed target audience for Magna Cum Laude. The old games were aimed at the more mature gamers with a lot of irony and comments below the belt. But all the mini games and lack of brain exercise makes the game a strange mix of nudity, boring dialogue and a repetitive gameplay, making the target audience hard to fathom. The mini games are similar to the ones found in games for kids but the explicit conversations and a couple of sex scenes are aimed at the mature side of the population. It just can't make up its mind who it's for."

And Game Chronicles awarded Myst IV: Revelation an 8.5/10:

"WOW WOW WOW!”, was my initial impression of the graphics in this game. The pre-rendered backgrounds sparkle with stunning details, cobwebs, dust, cracks, sun effects, glean of metal, lush forests--you name it, and Myst shows it off in glorious effect. The FMV (60+ minutes of it on 2 DVDS) interspersed throughout takes you aback as well; it is movie quality and seems to fit in well with the CG backgrounds seamlessly."
