I grew up playing the Space Quest games and I’ve played all of the fan games, so I consider myself a pretty avid fan. I can tell you the quality of this particular game is so good that you’ll quickly forget it’s a fan game and wish you had a nice shiny retail box to go with it. The story is excellent, full of twists, with heaps of comedy to keep you entertained at every turn. The sound track is epic. The cut scenes (all 45 mins + worth) are top notch and retain the look and feel of a true late 90’s SQ successor, which as a retro gamer I appreciate.
What’s the worse thing about this game? A complete lack of marketing (think System Shock). I never even heard of this game until one of the other fan sites referenced it. I was very skeptical to try it. Thank goodness I did. Give it a shot! This should have been SQ7.
