Adventure Game Censorship List (NSFW)
I can understand games and movies having ratings, but, except in cases of child pornography, I’m not in favor of censorship.

Wonderful thread! I always like to experience games as they were originally intended, so being able to track which versions of games are uncensored is very useful. If I can think of anything to contribute, I will.
Walking the fine line between being an original hardware nerd, and being broke from buying original hardware.

Philips cdi ver of Vouyer series is more graphic in nudity
I’ve played the PC version and there is no nudity in it that I found. Likewise, here is a CD-i review that says there is no nudity in that version as well: http://www.defunctgames.com/review/906/voyeur
OTOH, Wikipedia says there IS nudity. Can anyone confirm what, if any, versions of the game have nudity? It’s somewhat of a mystery to me. Either the PC version is censored, I never managed to see any nudity despite it being there and having played the game many times, or the nudity thing is just a myth.
I’ve also updated the list to note that Heavy Rain and LA Noire were banned in Saudi Arabia. I know you’re all really surprised by that. 
I’ve added comparison pics for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Kronolog, and LA Noire as well on the first page.
this is such a great effort done Bastich , to even collect the images, not just info and written words… Thanks to you a lot Bastich .it was needed with all the late talk about those Censorship(s) and thanks to Dan_Dan_91_07 for bringing the idea into attention first hand here.

Saudi Arabia?? doesn’t have a market or even any kind of venue to express such kinda banning or even a way of releasing articles or subjects awareness..
i lived there 8-9 years when i was very young between the age of 8-15, take my words for this, unless there have been some kind of evolution toward their multimedia awareness importation , with all the respect for the Saudi people themselves but not the government , but that does not go for the U.A.E people or government.

Confirmed female nudity in Voyeur 2 as i have played it, there at atleast 2 sex scenes.
Iirc, voyeur1 had nudity , but i played it way back and dont recall.

Yeah, Dan definitely deserves a lot of credit for sparking this. That thread made me realize that many of the games I’ve played were censored. Now I really want to find the best versions out there if I can.

I thought for sure that the swastika on Klaus’ passport would have been censored, but I just watched a playthrough of the German version on Youtube and the swastika was still there. It’s partially obscured so maybe that’s why it slipped by.

WELL, no offense taken (please) at me doubting your references, it seems Saudi has some evolution than the time i lived there… but i doubted they do the effort of banning and thoroughly investigate what goes against their ideologies or not, they (the authorities there) alll they gotta do is following countries like Emirates which seems to have the same ideology concerning nudity and sex scenes when it comes to publication, tho Emirates have a totally different ideology for the foreigner living there, meaning foreigners can do whatever they like, but Emirates citizens can or can NOT) do these things bu only behind closed door, just what is important it IS away from (camera) publicity

Dubai has official growing market which now censoring AAA titles including CoD and Witcher3 Arabian versions, boobs and all covered.
But no PC market exist there, and i get early copies of game because they break rel dates of Reg2 Euro or Brazillian Reg1 copies, on both pc and consoles.
Still you have choice to get from Dubai if Arabia censors or not.
KSA itself has no market or proper sellers.
Almost every console owner in whole middleeast owns all Fifa and Gta titles, later being most notorious in debauchery.
Even godofwar is available though not directly.
Dubai is Vegas 2 or Sincity2, noway in media or otherwise can be compared to strict regime of KSA, Dubai is most open. Foreigners from all the world come here for all known vices.

I went ahead and removed Indy 4. Unless I get some proof I don’t want to have it on the list.
I also added a comparison shot for Gobliiins and noted that the GOG.com version of Fahrenheit is uncensored and the GOG.com version of Loom is.
