Indeed it is Wilco. Both quotes right from the start that finds Joey and Rosa outside the Karth House. First is from Sam Durkin, the second from Rosa. Brilliant game, my game of 2014 which found agreement with the AG staff as well.

All yours.

Yes, a great game, one of the best from recent years.

Next quote:

“The Road to the South is impassable. Absolutely… impossible to pass! Impassable.”

Speaking of Flatheadia (in another thread, that is), isn’t this from Return to Zork?

That sounds like something Max (from Sam and Max) would say but, if it is, I haven’t a clue which game so I’ll guess Beyond Time and Space.

That sounds like something Max (from Sam and Max) would say…

Which is exactly why I started with that quote, because although it sounds just like Max, it’s not from a Sam and Max game. Man, I just LOVE overt misdirection!

However, the game I’m looking for is rather cartoon-ish as well…

Here’s another one from the game in question (different character, though):

“AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!! The mob!”

How about this?:

“Where’s the rest of your body, bro? How can you blast your quads when you’ve got no quads left, brah?”

Hmmm, still no takers. Yet another quote:

“What can I say? I’m a very good taxidermist.”

Okay peeps, this game came out in late 2013, has a stylized art graphic style, is very comically fully voiced, is considered a puzzle platformer, got a 79 rating on Metacritic, and for some reason has never been reviewed on AG (although it does have a game info page here). Whenever I think of this game, I get hungry for Italian food.

Here’s the next quote:

“Hey, that’s a great idea! We can go to the Opera! That’ll show her I’m a classy man who appreciates the finer things in life, like paying to have a stranger sing at me!”
