I've got little problems with my Twôn-Ha (If that's how you write it...). It won't run, it only jumps, and it's not a very convenient way to move (and not very fast). :pan: I only get it to run in one place, when I am in front of the recreator's house in Shamazar (haven't tried elsewhere though). It's kinda bugging me, that I can't use it, 'cause it's quite a big place, and the Twôn-Ha does move quite faster, than you do... Anybody knows why it won't move? Or could even know how to fix it?

Hmm...Try this.

Once on the Twon-Ha...move your mouse in a vertical to and fro motion; as if you are tugging on the reins. Hopefully the creature should begin to gallop.

Well, this time it didn't work, but it did the first time, so I'll just work harder on this :)

OK... It hasn't worked in a while now... Anybody have other ideas (I'll still try to work on that last one, but it works like one time out of ten or twenty, depending on the day)

So there are no patches or other fixes, to make it work? Or no other Tricks?
I hope there are, because even though I remember using the trick above the last time playing through, it's not working anymore... :( So really, if anybody knows something, please say it!

Hey, Uptimist. I haven't played the game in a while, but I had this exact same problem too. Here's how I was able to fix it. Go to the games settings. (I haven't played the game in a while, but I think you access the settings without even actually opening the game.) Go to the part where you can alter how advanced you want the graphics to be. (Sorry, I can't give you specifics, as I can't really remember how this info is presented.) Anyway, set everything to show the highest possible quality/detail. That worked for me.

I think the problem stems from trying to run the game on too advanced/modern computers. (I'm running a Pentium 4, Windows XP) Maybe by setting all the graphics to their highest, it gives the computer enough distraction so that it doesn't stumble over itself during the Twon-ha parts.

I think I have all the graphics on their highest, but when I can, I'll see if they could be better... But what about the resolution? I have it on its highest (something like 512xsomething), but if it really is up to the graphics, could it (the resolution) have something to do with it? (It's just that I think it gets really bad looking, if I lower it)...

Hmmm...well, according to my little theory, lowering the resolution wouldn't help.

When I encountered my problem with the Twon-ha, I posted my problem on a message board and someone suggested a program I could download that temporarily slowed down your computer enabling you to play older games. I never tried it because I sumbled on my solution first. However, maybe you should look into it. I know people have mentioned these types of programs a number of times--how it's helped them with the timing-bugs that occur with playing older games on new machines. Unfortunately, I don't know the names of any of these programs, or where to download them. (I think one of them is called "mo-slow" or something.) Maybe if you posted a fresh query in this forum with a headline specific to what you're looking for, someone would be more likely to see it, than if you asked for it in this thread.

Yeah! Thank you for your suggestion! This really was the problem in this case. However programs like mo-slo won't work because they slow down only 1 executable. Outcast deals with Outcast.exe wich launches: Outcastloader.exe oc1.exe oc2.exe and oc3.exe. The mo-slo program only affects the Outcast.exe wich you use to run the game.
The program you should use is something like cpugrab (from microsoft) wich just slow down your whole cpu. I downloaded cpugrab here:

Happy Twon-Ha riding!
