What’s that expression about one man’s trash being another man’s treasure? Well, for adventure gamers, an entire trash planet has been the source of multiple treasures in Daedalic’s wacky Deponia series. The popular comic trilogy came to a fairly definitive ending in the appropriately-named Goodbye Deponia, but in this modern era of reboots, there seems to be no such thing as closure anymore. Working in secrecy, the German developer miraculously kept all of us in the dark before springing a completely unexpected fourth installment of Rufus and friends (or, well, as close as Rufus comes to having any actual friends) on an unsuspecting public.
Tumbling out of the chute mere days after its formal announcement, Deponia Doomsday is upon us. This isn’t a complete reboot, starring all the same characters we’ve come to know and love (or amusedly despise, in the lead protagonist’s case), but nor is it a proper sequel or prequel. So what is it? Well, you’ll have to play it to find out, because saying anything more would be telling – not just about this game, but about the three that came before it. All you really need to know is that the game features the same distinctive cartoon graphics, offbeat humour, and traditional point-and-click adventuring goodness as its predecessors. And plenty of wanton messing about (the words “Rufus” and “Doomsday” seemed destined to one day collide).

In order to be eligible, you must correctly answer the three quiz questions below. If you don’t know the answers, you could guess, but they’re harder than they look. Fortunately, you can find all the answers you need somewhere in Games Republic’s Deponia product pages. Looking up answers isn’t cheating, it’s being resourceful!
But wait, it gets better. Normally those who don’t win go home empty-handed, but everyone gets a consolation prize here.
