Somerville: Alien Invasion Intrigue Lands on PlayStation

In a world where an otherworldly catastrophe has unfolded, players now get the chance to make their family whole again. Thunderful and JUMPSHIP have announced the launch of their highly anticipated sci-fi adventure, Somerville, on PlayStation today. This marks the first release from JUMPSHIP since their acquisition by Thunderful in November 2022. Somerville has been lauded as "the most beautiful game I’ve ever played" by VG247 and "a disconcerting masterpiece" by The Gamer.

Somerville immerses players in an atmospheric world transformed by an alien invasion. In the game, you'll navigate a series of puzzles within a landscape altered by strange alien sediment. Your protagonist discovers the ability to manipulate this sediment in various ways, keeping the gameplay fresh and engaging throughout the journey.

As players explore the devastation left by the invading alien force in Somerville, the remnants of resistance tell a story without uttering a word. The alien lifeforms that you must evade or hide from might just offer clues to delve deeper into the true meaning of this conflict. The game also boasts multiple endings that reveal the true significance of the strange events that unfold.

"We’re excited for players to jump into the mysterious world of Somerville and experience the best version yet on PlayStation today,” said JUMPSHIP Studio Director Claire Boissiere. “We know that you have been patiently waiting for the Somerville original soundtrack by the incredible Dominique Charpentier so keep your eyes peeled for more information about that soon!”

For those interested, Somerville is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and is available on Steam, GOG for PC.
