Fran Bow developer focuses on console port after pandemic delays

Fran Bow is a popular point-and-click adventure game developed by Killmonday Games, a Sweden-based game development studio. The game was originally released for PC and mobile devices in 2015 and has since gained a dedicated fan base.

Killmonday has now announced that it is refocused on bringing Fran Bow to consoles, including Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. The developer said that it had previously been working on the port "on and off" but has recently dedicated itself to ensuring the project is completed.

The company also acknowledged that the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic had made it difficult to keep to previously promised deadlines. It said that it had been working on too many projects at the same time, which had led to a period of adjustment and lost communication.

Killmonday said that it is now in a better position and is focusing on completing the console port of Fran Bow. The developer added that it wants to take its time and release the game when it is ready, rather than promising a release date and failing to meet it.

In addition to the console port, Killmonday is also working on a standalone game based on Fran Bow, which it describes as a "short game" but "nonetheless filled with Fran Bow wackiness and the amazing universe." More news about the game is expected next year.

Killmonday said that it has decided to put its other project, "The Benjamin Game," on hold until it has completed the Fran Bow port and the new Fran Bow game.
