Myst art exhibit to be held in London
Adventure gamers who will be in the vicinity of London for the weekend of September 17-19 should make their way over to the Dali Museum at Southbank, London's County Hall Gallery for an exhibit of artwork used in the Myst series of adventure game.
The show will feature development sketches and other concept art from each of the Myst titles, including the fourth entry to the main series, Myst IV Revelation. Revelation, which just went gold, is due to be formally launched at the show. The exhibit's organizers claim that this event is the first of its kind.
Certainly Myst will be in good company. It is a testament to the growing acceptance of video games as a cultural medium that the exhibit is being hosted in a venue which houses works by such masters as Chagall and Picasso, and which is permanent home to the world's largest collection of Salvador Dali artwork and sculpture.
The show is free, so if you'll be in the area you have no excuse not to go!
