The Legend of Kyrandia: Hand of Fate is, in my humble opinion, a pinnacle of the series, after the first part the had some gameplay issues similar to early Sierra titles, and the third game that experimented with the anti-hero. It’s a perfect package, perhaps not the most original, but one that oozes with positive atmosphere, colors and locations of all kind, in sorceress Zanthia’s quest for the Anchor Stone to save Kyrandia from vanishing.

The talkie version and especially Zanthia’s voice set the standard for future games, and the game perhaps broke the ground when it comes to courageous female leads Grin (and like the game manual states - “In modern times it is well known that all the great Alchemists have been women” Smile ), and featured a nice twist in a standard fare of inventory puzzles with concoction of potions and spell casting, and the magical use of the Alchemist’s Magnet.

Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale
