Cute little Tony with his big glasses is still a kid in in Tony Tough 2: Der Klugscheisser kehrt zurück aka Tony Tough 2: A Rake’s Progress (2006). So it’s more of a prequel than a sequel to the first game.  The crisp and colorful graphics from the first game are gone, everything now looks a little blurry.  The humor and the classic inventory puzzles are still there.

The sudden disappearance of the maid keeps our wannabe detective busy. Maid? Yes, the game takes place in the fifties.  In the screenshot Tony is trying to escape from the hospital where he was taken.

I didn’t get very far with the game on my old XP. Some bugs and annoying XP hiccups.  I read later that the bugs are not gamestoppers. Too bad I no longer have the patience for technical problems. The game was never translated into English, but fortunately a devoted gamer came up with an English patch. See
