Adventure Game Scene of the Day — Tuesday 12 May 2015
I’m doing another midweek with actors because, unlike most gamers, I love FMV games with real people and real facial emotions. So here’s one of my everybody’s favorites: Peter Lucas as Von Glower, cornered in the opera, fighting the urge to change into a werewolf in Gabriel Knight: The Beast Within.
I’ve watched the opera scene many times and I still can’t get enough of it. Peter Lucas is a very convincing and charismatic Von Glower and my favorite werewolf. Sorry Bigby, his character has more depth and he’s real bad.

Well, to be completely shallow I’ve got to favour Von Glower as my favourite werewolf character as he’s just so gorgeous - when he’s not in wolf form (of the furry kind) that is! But! personally I think the werewolf sequences in Discworld Noir are far superior to & more interesting than those in GK2.

BTW, I think that look works only on female, so I’m immune (despite my feminine

I favour Lewton too but I admit that the panties-droppage-factor is higher with Von Glower. Also, I don’t really consider him a villain. Personally I really like stories with supernatural characters because they can have totally different morale dilemmas than regular humans. I especially love some of the bit grittier stories, the YA entertainment focuses too much on eternal love and saving lives and stuff like that.
Also Jensen’s MM novels are definitely on my to-read list. I wasn’t that surprised to find out about them, Von Glower and Malachi already gave these vibes out quite generously.
