I've just read that there's a fairly important patch (one day after official release) !

P.S.
I was a beta-tester... but about 1ÂĽ years ago !!

The link for the patch is in the Related Links tab in the game info page and the details about what it fixes are in the Technical Info tab.

did they ever release a demo for this game? i've made some bad purchases lately and swore to never spend more than 10 bucks unless i can play a demo first. though this one is tempting.

There's no demo that I know of. Some games have a demo before the game's released and other games put one out after. One may come (but I don't know that for sure). Do reviews help you at all? Pay attention to those, especially looking for elements in adventure games that you like to see (or those that bother you).

Just saw both JA+ reviews.. it looks like this could be a new TLJ!
Are there any more reviews out already?

I too hardly ever buy a game unless I've first 'sampled' its demo.
I want to see whether it's the sort of game I'm likely to enjoy...my tastes being somewhat limited.

But I have an even more prosaic ‘down to earth’ reason.
It is an incontrovertible fact that due to the almost infinite number of computer hybrid systems, some games will not play at all on some set-ups… whether due to insufficient specs, or unsupported video cards or whatever.
If the (free) demo plays well, it’s almost certain that the (costly) full game will also.
Personal example :-
About 4 months ago, my ‘best’ computer was 2½ years old. It would not play at all 2 fairly new demos (IIRC, one of them was Dreamfall). So I did not buy it. For various reasons, I had to buy a brand new state of the art computer and both those demos work fine. So I have only now put in orders for the 2 games themselves !!

It certainly could !!
However, I would respectfully recommend ignoring the hype surrounding the game since that can raise expectations tremendously, and if the game is considered to be just very good or even excellent (say) it might be somewhat of an anticlimax.
I myself think that it is an excellent Quest-Adventure… but of course that’s just my personal opinion.
The 2 Reviews are indeed both very positive (one extremely so, although the other lists a number of quirks & bugs)

Well, I for one have waited for this game to come for a long time, so i'm downloading it right now.
Still around 88% to go though, lol

And just because I know I'm going to be stuck at certain parts, I looked for a walkthrough, and can't find ANY out there on google...
Guess it's still too new... I only found a Guide by MagtRo on gameboomers.

Edit: almost done downloading: 72% - sheesh it's slow or I'm just impatient.

Why is that worth laughing out loud about?

Is the retail version already available on store shelves? I saw somewhere that it's coming Nov 2, so is only the download version available for now?

Ouch! Didn't know I had to watch my laughings here.
I just thought the long wait was funny, compared to the top poster.

Anyway, I'm playing it now, and I have to say it's great.
I think I'm somewhere in the middle of it, and there's still tons i haven't explored yet.
This is one game that's definately worth a replay!

Is it the retail version of the download? I really want to know if it's sold in stores yet or not.

Oh, great

Doesn anybody know by the way what protection the retail version has? It's not TAC, so it can be anything, even Starfoce...

Just started playing this game last night. Am totally engrossed. Does rather remind me of Longest Journey, however with more mature characters. In a way really like this can relate more to their emotions and problems. So many places to visit. Only have experienced one hard puzzle so far. Am sure there will be more to come Yet I have to say this is one of the best games I have played in a very long time.

Default Stuck at lockpick

Hi there,

I also started to play the game recently.
I haven’t gotten far because I’m stuck in the office trying to lockpick my drawer.

First impressions of the game looks promising though. It seems to have a lot of depth to it, which helps you get over the horrible graphics.

p.s. can anyone help me with the drawer in the office? I can't get it open

/thanks

Try using the guide I provided a link for above.
I had difficulties too at first...

And to Aurabesh:
I played the downloadable version. Simply couldn't wait for the retail
And I didn't get disappointed - I just finished it and feel like taking another go with it.
It feels like I missed a lot... sure I got through most of the puzzles, but the twist with the side story... hmmm, think I missed out on something there.

And as the two reviews on Just Adventure describes, there's a lot of dialog!
I really don't mind, in fact I love it. Makes you feel you get to know the characters on a whole other level.
And the language in the game.. so real, lol.

I do hope there will be a sequel.. there's certainly basis for one.
