Summer School lesson nº3 - Physics

Here we have Quantum Conundrum a game by Kim Swift, director of Portal. It’s definitely a game that has similarities to Portal, being a physics-based puzzle-platformer where you manipulate 4 dimensions - Fluffy, Heavy, Slow and Reverse Gravity.
Fun game for the puzzles with a serviceable but unremarkable story.

I kind of enjoyed Quantum Conundrum. There were some fun puzzles, but it’s a lot more platformy than the Portal games - generally in Portal once you’ve figured out what to do you can do it within a couple of tries, whereas QC had a lot more tricky bits requiring dexterity as well as insight.
It’s fun learning to combine the different effects to reach your goal, though, and there are some nice touches like the way the pictures on the walls change for the different dimensions.

Is this the one with Q from Star Trek as a voice actor for one of the main characters?

That’s true, the platforming bits are more tricky than Portal, like the screen above that is a timed sequence where you have to jump through the furniture while time is slowed down. Nothing too hard but first-person platforming is a bit hard sometimes.

Never knew that, had to check but it is John de Lancie. it’s no GlaDOS or Wheatley but still a good narration.
