The Beginner’s Guide is a short story created Davey Wreden, the writer of Stanley Parable. It’a about him going through the games that a programmer named Coda created between 2008 and 2011 and trying to give some intepretations and objectives to these strange little games, trying to characterize Coda personality through them.
What’s it really about is left open to interpretation, might be about Wreden himself and how he dealt with the release of Stanley Parable, might be a about the relationship between a developer and players, might really be about Coda the programmer and he actually exists (I doubt this one).

As usual, if I haven’t heard of a game I look further to see different viewpoints & did find that the game has so many positive comments from quite a few sources but as interesting as it seems I’m not sure it’s for me at the mo.
