Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Monday 16 May
The Surprisingly short adventures of Leopold Kettle
Another one made for a MAGS competition this week. The GB graphical style is well done and it really does look good as you can see for yourself. Animations are good and authentic looking too and some may well find the game worth a download for that alone.
The game itself is not quite as short as the title may suggest but it is not a long game obviously. You play as Leopold, whose robot, Captain Helicopter, is swallowed by a big fish. However, this is one nautical crime fighting team that cannot be broken up!
The game is cutsie (check out the bubble cat and the good ship S.S. Strawberry Ice Cream!) but is not a complete pushover in the puzzle department. There is no voice acting but the sound and music fit very well with the original Gameboy style this game presents.
All in all a nice cheery little AG which is well worth a shot if you’re into the graphics.
3.5 time winner of the “Really Annoying Caption Contest Saboteur” Award!
Love the title.
