The big thing about Journey of a Roach is that we have the ability to walk on both the walls and on the ceiling, which quite literally adds an extra dimension to the game and to the puzzles.

At first it is quite a bit confusing that we can’t rely on up always being up and always having both feet solid on the ground, but it is something I soon got used to, and that is also necessary. Pretty much all puzzles, or at least all rooms, require that you take advantage of this, and you quite often has to see the same scene from many different angles (floor, wall and ceiling) in order to solve the puzzles.

Otherwise I would say that it is a very nice little game, that bring back memories of the much acclaimed Machinarium.

I recall that several years back Josh Mandel was involved in developing a game that involved roaches. Is this that game?

I doubt that.
The game is developed by Koboldgames in Switzerland and published by Daedalic Entertainment.
