Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure
ONE manga I’d gladly play, and they made it a Wii exclusive! Darn!
Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale
It’s an excellent game but why a hybrid?
I’m not in the right position to be the judge of it - I was following this review (I’d have to classify Z&W* as an action-puzzler game) and several others, and I’ve seen some Youtube videos - I realize the “actions” with the Wii Remote like these:
are in the service of a gameworld puzzles, but it’s still a bit of an action.

Like wilco said, this is an adventure game and not a hybrid.
The action bits is just a bit of wiimote waggling for the interactions. It’s sad, the game will be lost in the Wii / WiiU library. Don’t know the potential for playing it with a emulator since it needs the wiimote.
It should work fine with Dolphin and it’s easy enough to get a second hand wiimote.
I have a wii but I end up playing most of my games on Dolphin instead, it looks better than on the Wii with SSAA.
I never tried Dolphin for Wii games, it’s easy to use the Wiimote on PC?
I use it on a mac and it’s very easy. I imagine it’d be the same on pc. The wiimote is just a bluetooth device so if you have bluetooth it will work.
The only thing that is be a bit annoying is that you need an IR emitter (I use the one from my wii but easiest is to use something called the dolphinbar which also does bluetooth [1]).

That’s cool, thanks. Going to try it someday.
