One year before Resident Evil, 3 years before Half-Life and Grim Fandango, 4 years before Outcast and 19 years before The Talos Principle… BioForge had it all. But it was an early 3D-look at me I’m so pretty-adventure-and-action-keyboard-controlled mess, and you’ll think the same when you die 143 times in the first two minutes because you haven’t positioned your character in the EXACT angle and distance to fight the enemy (Time Commando, anyone?).

On the other hand, even Wikipedia had to agree that it’s an adventure game (and we all trust Wikipedia only, right?!) - seriously now, as the pioneer of arcade, or action-adventures, BioForge is still one of the most adventurey around, with heavy emphasis on puzzles, and rich sci-fi story that throws you in the metal boots of an amnesic turned-cyborg looking for escape, and that progresses in a typical “adventure” manner via exploration, interacting with characters and solving obstacles. It’s also creepy as hell.

Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale
