Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Monday 25 January
Time Stone
Despite appearances to the contrary, the warlock has not wet himself!
Time Stone is a short one room game that seems to get everything right. (Also the fact it is one room made it easier for me to choose a screenshot )
You play as Elle, apprentice to a wizard/professor. You arrive at your mentor’s house for a magic lesson only to find he is being kidnapped by an evil warlock who is in search of the Time Stone. It isn’t long before your mentor is spirited away and you are left locked in his house with no apparent means of escape or of assisting the professor.
Although this is a one man effort, except for the soundtrack, everything about the game is strong. The graphics are good, the puzzles are varied and interesting, the dialogues are well written and funny too and the sound and soundtrack are good.
I suppose you might say that this is simply an escape the room game dressed up, and to a point you would be right, but firstly the dressing is really, really good and secondly it feels bang on like a classic adventure game (or part of one at least).
In summary it’s probably about 30 minutes or so to play through and certainly left me wanting more.

Thanks Intense Degree, the game seems fun but also good to know that it’s something you can play, when you’re busy, in about half an hour!
Is this a freeware game?

Freeware Monday Sir!
And as it’s me posting it you won’t be surprised to learn it was made in AGS.

I get confused. I know I have Friday, Iz has Wednesday. Diego has Saturday and Sunday plus one other. Wilco is doing a day.
Although for some reason I thought Monday was “Old Games Monday.” But maybe that was when when Dag was doing it, and it just morphed into Freeware. Sorry for the mix up.
