Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Friday 25 December

Casual Friday

I’m not even going to try and top Iz’s Christmas post. It can’t get any better than that.

While there may be some Christmas-centric games, they are few and far between.

I ran across this little gem. But I admit that I have not played the full game. Only the demo.

The game is Christmas Stories: Puss in Boots. Its developer is Elephant Games.

The screenshot comes at the very end of the demo. It’s then that you find out what the game is all about.

When you start the game, it is obvious that some character is trying to destroy Christmas. Why would anyone want to do this?

Well, when you arrive at the above screenshot, and enter the house, you find yourself face-to-face with a horrible scenario. There is a girl who apparently suffers from an incurable disease. This, she thinks, will be her last Christmas. Puss in Boots is determined to make sure Christmas never happens if it means the passing of the little girl.

I have no idea how this story ends. But I have a feeling that it will end well.

Merrry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to everyone.

I think I played at least one of the previous Christmas Stories: Nutcracker Suite? - I was tempted but chose to dive into an AG waiting in the wings instead but may give Puss in Boots a bash soon as the theme appeals!  Laughing

Happy Holidays to you also Tim!  Smile
