Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Thursday, 15 October
Glass Rose (PS2) was the first (translated?) game by Cing. It’s a point-and-click adventure but a little rough around the edges with some frustating mechanics like time limit where you have to replay parts if you don’t complete the parts in the designed time. Story starts intriguing with some time travel but it’s very very confusing, maybe it makes sense by the end but I never finished it.
Dialogue system is kind of unique, basically you have to select the precise words from the other character that you want to ask about. Can be a bit hard but makes for a more interactive dialogue puzzle instead of just clicking the different options.
I enjoyed Glass Rose! It had a system where you could earn hints by solving tangram puzzles, as I recall.

Yes, tangrams to earn hits where to go next. Cing always likes trying different systems for their games.
