You can always count on Gumshoe for the obvious tips…
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (DS) is a spin-off from the main Ace Attorney series. The intentions were good: a more traditional third person point-and-click adventure staring everybody’s favorite prosecutor Edgeworth and other familiar faces like Dick Gumshoe. The problem was that the storyline was uneventful and the cases started to drag, adding the easy and linear gameplay ended up making it what is probably the worst game in the ace attorney family. I think it’s still worth playing for fans of the series but probably best to leave it for last. I’ve also read that the sequel is way better but I’ll leave it for another day.
(Sorry about the poor quality of the picture today)

I agree with your assessment that it’s the weakest of the Ace Attorney games, but still a good one for fans of the series. It’s a shame they didn’t fully do justice to the awesomeness that is Miles Edgeworth…

The game had a great last case, though. The entire “diplomatic immunity” angle made for some interesting situations.

Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka

Ugh, I had forgotten about that. Thanks for reminding me… That awful final confrontation that went on and on and on and fucking on. (Generally, that was a problem with the entire game. It just didn’t know when to shut up and stop watering down its plot twists.)

The sequel was significantly better, although it suffered from an overblown final case that tried to tie every single plot thread together and ended up being a complete mess that, once again, just wouldn’t end.

to be honest I don’t remember much about the final case. I started replaying the game some time ago and got kind of bored before reaching it…
Still want to play the fan translation of the second game.
