2nd in the series, Ankh: Heart of Osiris (2006) with its bright colourful graphics & humorous style is one of those games that don’t immediately appeal to me but know I’ll enjoy once I’ve got started. From what I can remember it had an interesting enough plot & an array of amusingly portrayed characters to interact with.

Those Ankh games all (save for one that deals with Vikings!?!) look (to me) like they take place in Hawaii.
And eyes bleed…

The art direction always bothered me, as well as its humour. Too modern for Ancient Egypt.

Though colorful and humorous adventures are my favorite kind, I never much liked the Ankh games. To me, it seemed the humor got lost in translation, and I don’t find the graphics very attractive either. I agree with Zobraks - the settings look more like Hawaii than Egypt.

Duckman: Can you believe it? Five hundred bucks for a parking ticket?
Cornfed Pig: You parked in a handicapped zone.
Duckman: Who cares? Nobody parks there anyway, except for the people who are supposed to park there and, hell, I can outrun them anytime.

They should’ve used Ancient Egypt Humour? Smile Might have been awkward

I do not see a stoneworker on an important errand or a goldsmith in a place to which he has been sent, but I have seen a coppersmith at his work at the door of his furnace. His fingers were like the claws of the crocodile, and he stank more than fish excrement

Never played this series but I don’t think the first game is available online.

Laughing Maybe that’s too extreme. Just something with less links to modern society, or at least with more subtle jokes. Like the first Monkey Island games or the Asterix comics.
