Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Friday 13 June 2014
Today’s scene is from Harvest (2002), an Indie production from Michael B. Clark who also made The Arrangement.
Playing in 1st person perspective you discover an underground residence & a madman’s plot to poison the world while you are searching for your lost dog. The game is very puzzle orientated but the back-story of a life-long rift between a father & his son I found quite poignant.
Harvest is a fairly unknown game and it was commonly mistaken for (a bit more famo(u)s) Harvester (1996).
Now someone is making the game with the same name to add even more to the confusion.
... a madman’s plot to poison the world while searching for your dog.
Why would a madman search for my dog? Is that part of poisoning the world scheme?
Everybody wants to be Cary Grant.
Even Me.

Thank you for pointing out my grammatical error zobraks (now edited!) - as a native English speaker shame on me!
I don’t know why the game was called Harvest - there’s possibly a reference/connection in the game somewhere that I missed? The Arrangement (which I also have but haven’t played yet) seems to be better known or is it just that the screenshots are more familiar?
I wish developers wouldn’t use the same name for a different game - why do they do it?

It could have been worse - Adv(i)enturere could have spotted it first.
