I have yet to play Everlight: Of Magic & Power (2007), but I loaded it up to take a shot for today and came across this scene in the very beginning and can’t help but make fun of it. I love how that fairy is trapped in that cage. It’d be like if I called 911 for help, told the operator I was trapped in my car and the fire department showed up to find me sitting in my convertible with the top down. Granted, it turns out it’s a cage that is opened with magic but they don’t really describe her predicament very well, merely saying she can’t use her magic to open the door, as if it’s the door that is keeping her in there. I found it amusing, but maybe I’ve just taken too many painkillers with my booze today.
