Because the good weather is almost gone, I decided to go on one of my favorite hikes. It turned out really well, and I saw better weather than what I would have seen at home. There were a fair amount of other hikers as well, plus a group of guys riding horses. If you remember Sam Elliott's character in The Big Lebowski, you'll know exactly what kind of guys these were.
Once I got above the trees, the fog and low clouds were below me and I saw views like the above two (Mount Rainier is in the bottom). This is the mountain valley that most people come up to see. I wish I could get the above two to be next to each other for a more panoramic shot, but the new forum design doesn't want that to happen. The above three photographs show Kendall Catwalk, where the trail is right next to a cliff. The horses I passed by had to walk through here, and I was told by the guys that not many horses like to. Pretty photos, and I'm seeing those particular two shots side by side, and it's happily breaking the forum template.

I just tried it in IE and it works, so it must be a problem with Firefox.

Great photos, no not just great photos as those are amazing photos!
I love scenery like that, I wish Finland had something similar, though I think Lapland in the north has such. I just haven't visited Lapland in ages...

Dear bloggie,
I fear that tomorrow is going to be a sad and devastating day. My dog Lolli had her 16th birthday last Thursday and tomorrow we are going to the vet as she has some serious physical problems... I seriously don't know what is going to happen tomorrow...

Kolzigsie, I'm in the same boat, more or less. My kitty is probably about 15yo. While she doesn't show any signs of ill-health, she's boney, can't see as well, and has been having a hard time doing the stairs down to the litter box in the basement (I've been giving her arthritis suppliments that seem to help).
The signs are there and I'm treasuring my moments with her knowing they're growing short.

Thank you for the kind thoughts and words stepurhan, Jelena and Not A Speck Of Cereal.
We went to the vet today and we discovered that my dog has a tumor in the lower part of her body, for the third time in five years. She will be operated soon and she will be ok for now. So that is good. My dog is always very scared to go to the vet, she knows what that place is. I was so happy to see her reactions when she got out of there, she was like a young dog again. We are also giving her some medicine that helps her a little bit as like your cat Not A Speck of Cereal. I can see the signs as well, her muscles aren't what they used to be and her eyesight isn't so sharp anymore. The muscle thing is so easy to see as my dog is a husky and used to be really strong and muscular. Now she is much more skinny.

Oh hello dear old bloggie,
I had a freak accident today while playing floorball. Now, usually I'm a goalie, but today I was playing as a defender because tomorrow my fun-fun season was supposed to start in our local league here in Vaasa. Well, I fell on the side walls of the court pretty badly from full speed as I was going past this other guy and I had the ball. Everyone thought that I broke my collar bone or perhaps some other bones on my upper torso. Thankfully I only received some ugly bruises and a very swollen toe. After 4 hours of waiting at the hospital I was released home just about an hour ago. I had my first ambulance ride of my life today. Well, my weekend sure changed completely now, I was supposed to go out partying with some old school friends this night and start the floorball season tomorrow etc., but now I can't even walk properly for a few days. Now I'm just popping painkillers here. How is that old saying again? "An athlete never sees a day without an injury?" Why does this always happen to me? I seem to be a walking freak injury magnet. Always something crazy like this.
