Feeling good about this kickstarter investment.  Looks like it’s going to be square with Larry 7 as far as looks and animation go (though the walk cycle needs work, the EGO is gliding more then stepping).

Don’t get me wrong, I like that they are making an updated version of LSL1, but it has been done too many times before with this game instalment of the series. I think it is a great disappointment that they are not making a new chapter in the LSL universe instead. I know that they want to test their ground first by rebooting the series, but I still think that they should have made a totally new game instead. Once again, I love the LSL series, and I got into AGs because of them in the early 90’s.

For all the excuses they’ve given, I actually think they went with a remake because that;s what Al wanted to do. It’s not about rights or anything, they just really want to remake the whole series. It isn’t as exciting as a new game, but they’re revising the design and dialog quite a bit, so it’s not like the 1991 remake either.
