Another Ridley Scott rip-off... albeit a nice one.

This game really does do amazing stuff with pixels. I was enthralled by the retro pixel art and the atmosphere the game created. The story moved along nicely but the game itself a bit too quickly. Puzzles were largely limited to one room where they often presented themselves too obviously and became more an exercise in clicking than lateral thinking. That is not to say I didn’t enjoy seeing the story unfold, just that the it happened in too shallow of a fashion.

The urban decay and dystopian feel are well presented and easily my favorite aspect of this game. However, I can’t help but feel that the game, ripping off Ridley Scott’s dystopian future from Blade Runner so overtly, undermined its self. Maybe I am being just too particular here, but this did effect has effected the rating for me.

Again, an enjoyable game and worth playing through just to see the clever use of graphics and to relive the Blade Runner feel it offers up so readily. But be warned Ridley Scott fans, it ain’t subtle!
