While the legacy of Myst grows larger and larger over a decade after its initial release, the game itself is getting smaller and smaller. Following its port to PocketPC last year, that trend will continue, as Midway Games has announced a publishing agreement to release the enduring adventure on PSP in Europe.

Myst, of course, is the acclaimed puzzle adventure from Cyan Worlds that went on to spawn four sequels and a spinoff that have combined to sell many millions of copies worldwide. That may raise the question of who hasn't played the game by now, but the PSP may just make it popular again with a whole new generation of gamers. Combined with the original adventures released on the Nintendo DS, portable platforms are quickly establishing themselves as a viable alternative to PC for the genre.

There is no release date for the European release scheduled yet, and there is no word yet on a North American version.
