Fifth Atlantis game announced

Nobilis has recently announced a new game in the seemingly never-ending series of Atlantis-themed adventures. Currently codenamed Atlantis V, this game is being developed by Atlantis Interactive Entertainment, the group mainly composed of former Cryo employees that released Atlantis Evolution in 2004.

This first-person, point and click, adventure is set in the 1930s and casts the player as Howard Brooks, a young engineer. Invited aboard the famous Hindenburg, he loses consciousness and wakes up to find himself mysteriously alone in the airship. Taking control of the zeppelin, he will travel across the world, exploring locales such as the Empire state building in New York, a palace in India, and a Mesopotamian temple, on the trail of one Miss Sullivan, a famous archaeologist - and, hopefully, discovering how Atlantis ties into all this in the process.

The developers say that the game will feature many stylish, highly-detailed locations, numerous inventory items to find and use to solve puzzles, and a cast of thirty characters. An English trailer, promising "an impenetrable mystery" as well as "fear and danger", has been released, and can be watched at Jeux Video TV.

While publishing details for the English-speaking world are still unknown, the game is scheduled for release next October.
