E3 Update: New Law & Order games

Now on my list of "really, really great people" are the producers at Legacy Interactive, who are super, super nice people and--amazingly enough--really, really sincere adventure fans. The third in the Law & Order series, Justice is Served, is a much better-looking game that is actually designed to appeal more to adventure fans; there are many more "puzzle" elements and a lot more thought put into the interface.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent, amusingly enough, has been developed as a third-person game, and one of the reasons given was the success of Syberia. It is very, very different from the other Law & Order games and will appeal very much to fans of the TV show Criminal Intent.

Legacy also told me they are working on a new television property, a "mystery adventure" being developed with the Criminal Intent engine. They would not reveal what the property was, but expect to make an official announcement in June. Commence speculation!

This likely concludes my series of E3 news updates. Tomorrow we'll unveil the E3 Hype-O-Meter, post our final full-length update article, and possibly make more vague references to pointless inside jokes.
