In the year 2176, mankind took to the stars to solve its critical resource problem, and a small settlement was established at the very edge of the exploratory missions. Over time the colony developed into a modern association of settlements grouped around a single fusion reactor, known as the ‘core’. It seemed like the perfect place to start over until a natural disaster forced the inhabitants to flee off-world while they still had time.
