I actually agree on Kings Quest being GOTY!

Remembering back when I played the first episode and hearing the familiar title screen brought back so many memories.  Then hearing Christopher Lloyd’s voice and feeling the heart of it so early on - I also had just got a new 4K monitor and graphics card so seeing the visuals on ultra high was just superb.  Some of the forest scenes were just amazing eye candy.  Not to mention the comedy and fun gameplay.

I was on a euphoric high playing the first episode.

Apparently what qualifies this KQ as traditional is the remote resemblance to a game with sequenced puzzles. That is perhaps the sad state of the majority of games coming out that do not even try
At least silence was only runner up in that category.
But KQ is worthy of the overall title, even if it is mostly because of the first episode.
