Inside 2D puzzle adventure
Remembering how frustrating Limbo can be i was reluctant at first about playdead’s new title but seeing that nice shift of tracks from survival horrhor to survival distopia, less brutal gameplay, setting own standarts with artdirection,visuals/sound design and animations delivering an outstanding experience overall.
“Going on means going far - Going far means returning”
I think it managed to surpass Limbo (which was also a good game) but not Brothers.
NP: A Link Between Worlds, Beneath a Steel Sky and Vampyr
About two thirds in. It’s a nice looking game, wonderful atmosphere. If I had one complaint, it’s that the puzzles aren’t all that clever, and I think this type of game needs that. I get the demand for faster pacing but it feels like I’m going through the motions an awful lot.
Wow, that was the most atmospheric thing I’ve played in ages. Won’t babble about all its strong points, everything is said already. So i’ll jump right into the ending
I’ve dug around various versions of both endings and saw a pretty solid argument defending the theory that everything is an experiment, even your entry into the facility and “freeing” the hive mind (which supposedly controls you).

When you savagely begin to destroy everything around you in your grotesque cronenberg body there is a model of the exact forest you land in at the very ending with the positive light beam and all. So, in a way, this institution controls the hive mind who controls you. Everybody’s running at the core to see the grande finale. The scene in the big audience hall where the hive mind is teased with a cube, as you would tease a puppy, makes it even more obvious that every move of yours is carefully calculated and expected. The hive mind doesn’t free itself. Maybe this whole story has happened numerous times for the sake of fine tuning. In that way, the alternative ending is the more positive one because it represents an act of free will (the hive mind free will that is ).

Waking up for our daily races going nowhere, stuck in loop without any freewill, it also works as allegory
I much prefer the allegorical interpretation.
Playdead teasing next adventure
Yeah looks ingame
They need the money to make up for the $7million they had to pay to get rid of one of the founders.
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

They can get all the money after Inside or even from KS
Infact 7 million aint worth nothing
Esp when Inside was on Unity
But the moral of story is, human friction and separation is every where
Power politics everywhere
