It makes, the main objective is to catch the Origami killer, called this way because he leaves an origami figure.
Speaking of Heavy Rain the NTSC cover is horrible compared to the Europe one:

Sam & Max: Hit the Road cover is probably my all time favorite cover because I love Purcell`s artwork. Sam & Max Season Two cover is another masterful piece of art, but STASIS creepy cover comes to my mind too with it`s really cool design.

it seems less is more when it comes to adventure games artistic covers,  but otherwise those covers with Hollywood movies poster style, where the hero and other characters of the game standing next to each other (which too common at most covers) are my least favourite .

I’ve always loved Steve Purcell’s (or at least I think it his work) work he did for Lucasarts adventures. I really like the art for Zak McKracken and if anyone ever does remake that one, I’d love to see them go with his art style about it.
