Place that… uh, game
I don’t know that game, so it’s definitely not the one I was thinking of.
I only know it because I read a lot of books! Because of that a friend is always trying to get me hooked onto a Kindle and when she found she could play adventure games of the casual variety she added that as to why I should get one. It was Voodoo Whisperer that she showed to me. Still don’t have a Kindle

This game ALREADY had a sequel, but there’s also an incoming project that threatens to be more of a “spiritual successor” than what the official sequel was.

OK, there’re more than one game that fits the bill , but this sequel is also an adventure game like its predecessor. (and the incoming game is an adventure) Not only that, but the sequel had full title of the original in its title as well!
