I was looking at DarkEye’s quiz solutions just now and wondered, not for the first time either, how on earth people manage to find obscure titles that are totally new to me, like Belladonna or Scapeghost or Oz Orwell and the Crawling Chaos. And then it came to me that today’s AGSotD game has never featured in a quiz, although it’s certainly not rare or obscure. The reviews were positive and I bet that all regular posters here have at least heard of it. But nobody talks about it anymore, it’s like it never existed.  Not fair! So here’s my one day quiz: What’s the name of this poor, underrated, almost forgotten adventure game?

If there are no takers, I will of course reveal the name tomorrow.  Tongue

PS: It’s even worse than I thought. No playthrough at youtube. No screenshots at Mobygames, the Legacy, and Adventure Legends.  Cry

EDIT: I posted the wrong screenshot. Bad, bad Karlok! I could explain, but that would make it worse. Frown Removed it and inserted a new one, this time from the beginning of my still installed game.
It’s Traitors Gate (1999).

it’s certainly not rare or obscure… No screenshots at the Legacy

That’s a HUGE contradiction. The Legacy has about all there is.

Oh, it’s in their database alright. No screenshots. Well… just one. Mobygames also has only one screenshot.

Aren’t you going to tell us what game it is??

A year ago, stairway quiz was on my mind.I’ve collected only a few screenshots and than forget about a whole thing. When I saw your pic, I was almost sure that this one was among them. But now when you mention this game is not on moby or legacy I’ve probably switch it with something else. Confused
Lady Kestrel is probably dead tired from my quiz.

It’s quite possible that you have this screenshot. I got it from the internet. The game is still installed on my old win98 PC, but somehow my saved games are missing. Frown

AHA!! So it’s a pre-2000 game! You slipped, Karloff!

Nah, FMV adventures with bland generic graphics photos are not my forte.

Heh… yeah, I realized that too late. Makes it a lot easier cause the number of pre-2000 games that have never featured in either a quiz or an AGSotD thread must be very small.  Tongue

HA! You’re sneering to cover up your failure! There’s a ninja in the “bland generic” screenshot.

HA! You’re sneering to cover up your failure!

You forgot to put “Nyah-nyah, so there!” on top of your derision.

P.S. Haven’t you heard that they just started playing in the Crucible Theatre?
Not to mention Berdych:Monfils, :Nadal, Federation cup…

P.P.S. There was a game called something like Ninja Nanny…

That was tact. Innocent

I usually trip over them looking for something else or they’ve come up in a previous quiz somewhere.  However, this screenshot is not at all familiar to me.
