This game by the makers of Richard and Alice just came out on steam.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/288930/
It’s an updated/extended version of their freeware game sepulchre (which i never played).
I just bought it for 3,68€, and finished the game in 83 minutes.
Don’t be fooled by the term trilogy: it still is a very short game.
I guess the story was original, think David Lynch meets the Last Express.
Voice acting is fine, puzzles are not very challenging, but overall it’s a nice little game.
(decent review by indiegames: http://indiegames.com/2015/04/the_charnel_house_trilogy_revi.html)
They have plenty steam achievements, but most of them are unlocked just while playing the game (so every 5 minutes), it’s a little bit overkill Smile

Max: Right! We’ll travel through this dimensional portal on the top of the bar!
Sam: That’s spilled beer, rockhead.
Max: Oh in that case ...

It’s interesting, I wish the first 2 chapters were bigger but I liked the horror atmosphere. Not sure what happened at the end but seems to be setting up that other game for next year.

I saw that there’s a giveaway for 5 copies of The Charnel House Trilogy.

Just thought I’d share - https://gleam.io/8tJ1V/charnel-house-trilogy

Every review I read seems to have a problem with lackluster voice acting. But hey, a free game is a free game.

Except Jim Sterling. He should switch careers.

All in all, nice little package which left me wanting for some proper closure.

I mean, the protagonist of Inhale/Exhale stories gains significant exposure during two new episodes, but none of them can stand on their own, like Sepulchre did. I know there’ll be a sequel and everything, but still, I was dissapointed. Frown

I thought he was a bit distracting, kept thinking he sounded exactly like Jim Sterling in his videos and it didn’t help. Didn’t think the rest of the voice acting was that bad.

I don’t watch his stuff often so I didn’t mind/draw parallel too much. There was certain creepiness in his voice… I mean, he sounded normal most of the time, but there was something off in his voice and that’s why I think he portrayed his character perfectly.
