AGS Awards 2014
The Aggies are over, but there’s still one bunch of adventure game awards to go: The 2014 AGS Awards, for games made with the popular Adventure Game Studio engine.
The most nominated games for 2014 are Quest for Infamy, A Golden Wake, The Samaritan Paradox, Mudlarks and Blackwell Epiphany (which of course did very well in the Aggies). You can see the full list here. Voting, which is restricted to members of the AGS forums, remains open until this Sunday here.
The other aspect of the AGS Awards is that they’re announced in a ceremony that is itself an AGS “game” with online “multiplayer” capability. (I’m working on updating the client for this year.) The actual ceremony will probably take place the following weekend, but there is a beta test of the client set for this Sunday at 15:00 UTC. Since we’re trying to stress test the system and uncover as many bugs as possible, it would be great to have as many people as possible there. Can’t promise it will be fun, but it would be a great help. Thanks in advance!
(I’ll be coding on the client right up until the test, so I’ll post a download link probably Sunday morning.)
You can now download the beta version here. The test starts in about two hours twenty minutes from the time of this post.
These in-game award galas are always a blast. Big kudos to you for keeping that thing going.
Now developing: The Journey Down: Chapter Three

Were all of them seriously made in AGS? I did not know that
AGS rules.

The awards ceremony has now been scheduled, and will be held this Sunday, 22. March at 20:00 UTC (click link for timezone conversions).
Information about how to attend here. You will be able to download the AGS client there once final testing is complete. Hope to see you there!
Some very familiar names as winners! Thanks for the links.
Great to see Mudlarks as Best Freeware Game. It certainly deserves the title.
